Most inventory transactions are executed behind the scenes through the Kitting, Work Order Completion, De-Kitting, and Purchase Order Receipt processes. However, some organizations may want to create additional inventory accounts, such as Engineering, Sales, Testing, Quality, etc., to track the inventory outside the typical Business-Standard Raw Material, Work in Progress, Scrap, and Finished Goods categories.
The Inventory Transfer process between Inventory Accounts is a Simple and Quick method.
All Inventory Transfer processes have behind-the-scenes accounting transactions added, ensuring the inventory costs and quantities are always accurately represented.
Inventory Adjustments
When the Cycle Counting Program is NOT used in SimpleManufacturing™, it provides a SIMPLE and quick process to execute quantity adjustments.
All Quantity Adjustments of inventory have behind-the-scenes accounting transactions added, including the user performing the adjustment, ensuring the inventory costs are always accurately represented.
Inventory Cycle Counting
Inventory accuracy is achieved through its flexible cycle counting program. Cycle counts can be performed at any time with a user-defined set of part numbers to count, using items of ABC categorization or a random selection of part numbers.
Cycle counting of inventory Part Numbers with past and future demand is prioritized over inventory without demand.
ABC categorization can be manually set or set by past and future demand Lookup functions.
The Item Master record shows the ABC categorization status and the Last Cycle Count Date.
Inventory Cycle Count Selection
Cycle Count Details can be Easily Viewed with filters that can be applied to Search completed cycle counts by Part Number, Part Type, Product Type, and Cycle Count Options.
Inventory Cycle Count Entry
Completion and processing of Cycle Count is Easy! Enter the Physical Count of each Item. When the list is complete, click the Process button. Inventory quantities are updated, the item’s Last Cycle Count Date is updated, and all accounting transactions are completed behind-the-scenes to ensure the inventory cost and value of any accounting-related report, including the Balance Sheet.
Cycle Physical Count entries can be verified by a second party to ensure the accuracy of the Physical Count before processing.
